Meet the Trivium Prep Class of 2024 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Senior Meghan Wolfley has been announced as the Trivium Preparatory Academy’s class of 2024 Valedictorian, and Harrison Liu is the Salutatorian. Valediction is given to the highest-performing student of a graduating class and the title of Salutatorian given to the second highest rank in a graduating class. Both seniors will be given the opportunity to deliver an address at Trivium Prep’s commencement ceremony. They also got to lead from the front of the line at the senior walk, a tradition which includes the seniors parading down the halls of the school in their graduation caps and gowns, as the underclassman and lower school students cheer them on.

Wolfley will be serving a mission next year before attending Brigham Young University (BYU). She is a triple threat in musical theatre, excelling as a singer, dancer, and actor. She has performed in productions such as Beauty and the Beast, The Sound of Music, and Singin’ in the Rain. Currently, she serves as the team captain for the swim and dive team. “Swimming has been a joy to do and allows for friendships and competition to thrive,” she said.

Class of 2024 Valedictorian at Trivium PrepWolfley is very involved in her church, currently serving as Class President, where she leads, teaches, plans, and implements activities. She has also served on councils and conducted meetings that benefit the other young women in her church youth congregation. Additionally, she has organized week-long camps and overnight conferences for the youth of her church. From 2021 to 2023, she served as a Stake Leadership Council Ambassador.

She has served in several leadership roles with Future Farmers of America (FFA), including Junior Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Over the past several years, Wolfley has won several team and individual titles in state and national competitions with FFA. “I will receive the State Degree in June 2024, which demonstrates the amount of time and effort I have put in to my SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) and FFA Chapter,” she said. She is also a finalist for a Star Award in the Agriscience category which is to be awarded in June 2024 as well.

She has accumulated multiple awards and honor during her high school career including: Elks Most Valuable Scholar Semi-Finalist (2024), Carson Scholar (2023), Dramatic Performance Artisan Award (2023), Knight Award (2022-2023), National French Exam Award (2021-2022), Liberal Artist Award (2021-2023), Virtus Award (2021), and the Poetry Artisan Award (2021).

Class of 2024 Salutatorian at Trivium PrepLiu will be attending Barrett, The Honors College at ASU to study Computer Science. He serves as the club president and business team lead for the high school robotics club and serves as a mentor and advisor for the middle school robotics teams. He also plays the piano, is in Honors Choir, and plays club volleyball.

Liu volunteers with the Trivium Service Organization, St. Mary’s Food Bank, the City of Goodyear Recreation Community Service Events, the Salvation Army Angel Tree, and the Special Olympics. He is also a junior Tae Kwon Do instructor.
