We are wrapping up our celebration of National Teacher Appreciation Week (May 8 – 12, 2023).  This week you we have heard some incredible stories behind some of our great-hearted teachers. Chandler Prep teacher Conal Tanner served 3 years in the Canadian Army as a Second Lieutenant in the infantry.

Archway Trivium teacher, Kristopher McCoy served in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) with the rank of Corporal, E-4.

Salute to Our Great Hearts Veterans: George Sokolis
George Sokolis is a sixth-grade lead teacher at Archway Classical Academy North Phoenix and has been with Great Hearts for nearly six years.

Nearly one year after Michael Denk graduated high school, he also joined the United States Air Forceand served 4 years.

Mario Avent served in the U.S. Army as an Electrician Generator Technician.  He was stationed in Germany where he lived for 3 years.

Joy joined Great Hearts 13 years ago in the fall of 2009 and currently serves at the Dean of Students at Archway Glendale.
